For respirable crystalline silica sampling under part 60, the sampling pump must be operated at a flow rate of 1.7 liters per minute (L/min) to conform to the ISO standard. (By contrast, for respirable coal mine dust sampling under parts 70, 71, and 90, the sampling pump is operated at a flow rate of 2.0 L/min.)
